ROC the Future’s Alliance’s Youth Leadership Coalition will host a youth summit at the Rochester Museum and Science Center this Saturday, March 12.
The first annual event will prepare 50 Monroe County youth leaders to prioritize their physical, mental and social-emotional wellbeing.
ROC the Future is a nonprofit alliance of over 60 Rochester-area institutions and community partners that promotes the alignment of community resources to improve the academic achievement of Rochester’s children.
“We are so excited to bring youth together for this important event,” Kilolo Moyo-White said. “ROC the Future Alliance and its partners are committed to elevating youth voice, collective activism, and civic engagement for youth leaders in Monroe County,” she said.
Organizers anticipate youth leaders will have the opportunity to share their stories and experiences to help inform the decisions and choices of government officials.
The summit is from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Eisenhart Auditorium, 657 East Avenue, Rochester, NY 14607.
