Rob Watson, Executive Director of the Harvard EdRedesign Lab

ROC the Future Alliance welcomed Rob Watson, Executive Director of the Harvard EdRedesign Lab, for an in-person roundtable discussion with local higher education partners focused on accelerating collective efforts to improve outcomes for children and youth across our community.

The Harvard EdRedesign Lab provides catalytic support to cradle-to-career, place-based partnerships nationwide, helping communities drive systems-level change and create personalized pathways to opportunity for every young person.

ROC the Future Alliance has a longstanding connection to this work. Executive Director Brian Lewis was selected as a member of the inaugural cohort of Cradle-to-Career Fellows, a national leadership program that brings together emerging cross-sector leaders committed to developing innovative solutions with national impact.

Today, that partnership continues through the Institute for Success Planning. ROC the Future Alliance, Ampact, EdCeptional, and the Rochester City School District are members of the Institute’s fourth cohort, joining communities from across the country in a Community of Practice dedicated to improving student outcomes.

Through the Institute, partners are leveraging Success Planning strategies to address challenges such as chronic absenteeism, learning differences, and housing insecurity while strengthening youth voice, family engagement, and cross-sector collaboration.

By connecting local efforts to national expertise and innovation, ROC the Future Alliance continues to bring valuable resources, relationships, and proven practices to Rochester—helping ensure every child has the support they need to thrive from cradle to career.
