Dr. LeKeyah Wilson, VP, Community Engagement and Social Impact at Rochester Regional Health, named board chair of ROC the Future Alliance
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Rochester, New York | September 25, 2025 – ROC the Future Alliance is pleased to announce that Dr. LeKeyah Wilson of Rochester Regional Health has been selected as chair of the convener board. She succeeds Dr. Lorna Washington, Senior Program Officer with the William & Sheila Konar Foundation, whose term ended in June.
“As a pediatrician and one of Rochester’s premiere leaders working at the forefront of systems change and cradle to career outcome improvement, we are thrilled to welcome Dr. Wilson as chair. She comprehensively understands whole child development and the important linkages between pediatric health, education and employment outcomes. She is a proven leader in our community that has shifted policies, practices and power to ensure parent and youth voices are centered in our local healthcare systems,” said Brian Lewis, ROC the Future Alliance Executive Director.
Dr. Wilson holds a Bachelor of Science from Howard University and earned her medical degree from the University of Rochester, where she also completed her pediatric residency and Adolescent Medicine fellowship. She most recently served as the co-chair of the ROC the Future Alliance Whole Child Initiative and was the 2024 recipient of the Jacque Cady Annual Advocacy for Children Award.
As chair, she will lead ROC the Future Alliance into its 14th year. ROC the Future Alliance is a member of the StriveTogether Cradle to Career Network, which collectively impacts the lives of 14 million youth – including more than 8 million children of color and 5 million children experiencing poverty.
Locally, we commit to 11,000 more children and young people on a path to upward mobility by 2030. Together, with parents, youth, and leaders from systems such as education, healthcare, housing, business, philanthropy, and government, we promote intentional alignment of resources to accelerate and increase our collective impact.
