
ROC the Future’s School Readiness Outcome Team has evaluated several factors that contribute to school readiness and the data and trends in the Rochester City School District to determine goals and strategies.
Strategies Used to Influence Outcomes
The School Readiness Outcome Team is using the following strategies to strengthen school readiness.
- Provision of Universal Early Pre-Kindergarten
- Comprehensive developmental screening for children ages 12 months to 5 years (in conjunction with Get Ready to GROW)
- Increase capacity in the community to provide services indicated by screenings
- Increasing participation in summer learning programs
- Increasing the number of families receiving home visits
- Increasing the number of parents involved in skills training groups
