What Can We do Now to Ensure Gaps are closing and Systems are Transforming for all Students of Color?

StriveTogether is a national movement with a clear purpose: help every child succeed in school and in life from cradle to career, regardless of race, zip code or circumstance. ROC the Future is a member of the StriveTogether Cradle to Career Network, and there are nearly 70 communities like us across the country in partnership with StriveTogether. This year, StriveTogether has developed a Racial Equity and Inclusion Team to develop an action plan for the Cradle to Career Network to advance racially equitable results. The planning team, comprising of Network members, community partners, and StriveTogether team members gathered in Cincinnati to explore best practices in the broader field to address one key question – What we can do now to ensure gaps are closing and systems are transforming for all students of color. The goal of the team is to develop a racial equity statement for StriveTogether to adopt and embed in its Theory of Action and subsequently each network member to determine the best way to advance racially equitable results.
